Some Isaiah - Revelation

I
have said in the past that Revelation
contains some new and different information, but it basically is
stating the same old story of salvation that the prophets of old have
proclaimed from the beginning. Here are a few statements and
prophecies from the book of Isaiah, and from Revelation, that basically
say the same thing although the exact wording may not be
identical. I thought that it might be interesting for you to see
them in a comparative way.

Isaiah
21:9 And, behold, here cometh a chariot of
men, with a couple of horsemen. And he answered and
said, Babylon is fallen, is fallen; and all the graven
images of her gods he hath broken unto the ground.
Revelation 14:8 And there followed another angel,
saying, Babylon is fallen, is fallen, that great city,
because she made all nations drink of the wine of the
wrath of her fornication.
Revelation 18:2 And he cried mightily with a strong
voice, saying, Babylon the great is fallen, is fallen,
and is become the habitation of devils, and the hold
of every foul spirit, and a cage of every unclean and
hateful bird.

Isaiah 22:22 And the key of the house of David will I
lay upon his shoulder; so he shall open, and none
shall shut; and he shall shut, and none shall open.
Revelation 3:7 And to the angel of the church in
Philadelphia write; These things saith he that is
holy, he that is true, he that hath the key of David,
he that openeth, and no man shutteth; and shutteth,
and no man openeth;

Isaiah 25:8 He will swallow up death in victory; and
the Lord GOD will wipe away tears from off all faces;
and the rebuke of his people shall he take away from
off all the earth: for the LORD hath spoken it.
Revelation 7:17 For the Lamb which is in the midst of
the throne shall feed them, and shall lead them unto
living fountains of waters: and God shall wipe away
all tears from their eyes.

Isaiah 34:4 And all the host of heaven shall be
dissolved, and the heavens shall be rolled together as
a scroll: and all their host shall fall down, as the
leaf falleth off from the vine, and as a falling fig
from the fig tree.
Isaiah 34:10 It shall not be quenched night nor day;
the smoke thereof shall go up for ever: from
generation to generation it shall lie waste; none
shall pass through it for ever and ever.
Revelation 6:13 And the stars of heaven fell unto the
earth, even as a fig tree casteth her untimely figs,
when she is shaken of a mighty wind.
Revelation 6:14 And the heaven departed as a scroll
when it is rolled together; and every mountain and
island were moved out of their places.

Isaiah 41:4 Who hath wrought and done it, calling the

Revelation 1:17 And when I saw him, I fell at his feet
as dead. And he laid his right hand upon me, saying
unto me, Fear not; I am the first and the last:
Revelation 21:6 And he said unto me, It is done. I am
Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the end. I will
give unto him that is athirst of the fountain of the
water of life freely.
Revelation 22:13 I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning
and the end, the first and the last.

Isaiah 49:10 They shall not hunger nor thirst;
neither shall the heat nor sun smite them: for he that
hath mercy on them shall lead them, even by the
springs of water shall he guide them.
Revelation 7:16 They shall hunger no more, neither
thirst any more; neither shall the sun light on them,
nor any heat.

Isaiah 60:3 And the Gentiles shall come to thy light,
and kings to the brightness of thy rising.

Isaiah 63:2 Wherefore art thou red in thine apparel,
and thy garments like him that treadeth in the
winefat?
Isaiah 63:3 I have trodden the winepress alone; and of
the people there was none with me: for I will tread
them in mine anger, and trample them in my fury; and
their blood shall be sprinkled upon my garments, and I
will stain all my raiment.
Revelation 19:13 And he was clothed with a vesture
dipped in blood: and his name is called The Word of
God.
Revelation 19:15 And out of his mouth goeth a sharp
sword, that with it he should smite the nations: and
he shall rule them with a rod of iron: and he treadeth
the winepress of the fierceness and wrath of Almighty
God.

Isaiah 65:17 For, behold, I create new heavens and a
new earth: and the former shall not be remembered, nor
come into mind.
Revelation 21:1 And I saw a new heaven and a new
earth: for the first heaven and the first earth were
passed away; and there was no more sea.
